10 kV redundant section

SWR GmbH carried out excavation and pipe construction work on behalf of public utility Netzdienste Rhein-Main to provide a redundant connection to the medium voltage network for a new data centre.

During the process, 2 x 750 m cable protection pipes were laid and several kilometres of power and signalling cables were pulled in along Eschborner Landstrasse under difficult conditions. The project had an extra complication: the newly planned route needed to be laid under a power bundle that had already been laid and was in operation.
