2021

Restructuring of the management level

As of June 1st, 2021 the long-standing Managing Director, Mr. Dirk Heesen, will take over the sole management of SWR.

He will be supported by a management circle consisting of the 3 authorised signatories – Mr. Florian Mäder, Mr. Falk Lipp and Mr. Carsten Lobsien.

2019

Change in Executive Management, Walter Herlitschke goes into well-deserved retirement. Christian Albert replaces him and takes over executive management together with Dirk Heesen

Celebration of SWR’s 50th anniversary

2012

The first liquid soil system installed, an innovative technology for terminating construction pits, the RAL quality mark awarded by RAL Gütegemeinschaft Flüssigboden e.V.

2010

Professional expertise expanded after four lineworkers qualify for voltage levels up to 30 kV to meet customer requirements

2009

Branches established in Nuremberg and Munich

2008

A safety, health and environmental protection management system introduced with corresponding SCC** certification

2003

Company purchases the premises it is renting at Intzestrasse 14–16 in Frankfurt am Main

2000

Restructuring and introduction of an EN ISO 9001 quality management system to handle more complex construction activities. SWR gradually evolves into a medium-sized company which increasingly operates across regions

1992

Branches established in Brandenburg and Thuringia

1990

Service portfolio expanded to include underground cable line construction

1983

First district heating supply pipelines are built

1982

Existing office building remodelled a new workshop built to match company's growth

1977

Participated in construction of gas supply in South and East Westphalia. SWR continues on course for growth

1968

Becomes member of German Pipeline Construction Association

1966

Receives DDVGW approval to build gas pipelines made of cast-iron and steel pipes of all nominal sizes and for all pressures in any connection type and W 1 to construct water pipelines and asbestos cement pipes in all nominal sizes and for all pressures.

1965

Shareholders Hochtief AG (45%), Mainova AG (29,9%) and Entega AG (25,1%) found SWR, Südwestdeutsche Rohrleitungsbau GmbH, on 21 April 1965
