Frankfurt Trade Fair

Before future modernisation work begins for Hall 5, the existing steam and condensate lines in the area around Halls 5 and 6 needs to be re-routed so that supplies are still guaranteed to Halls 3, 4, the Congress Center Messe Frankfurt and the Forum.

Südwestdeutsche Rohrleitungsbau GmbH needed to insert and lay the steel jacket and plastic jacket pipes in the pipe trench built by a civil engineering company, arc-weld them together manually and retro-coat them.

The rerouted pipelines have the following lengths and dimensions:

• 119 m steel jacket pipe, 400/100/700
• 14 m steel jacket pipe, 300/100/800
• 204 m steel jacket pipe, 300/100/700
• 143 m plastic jacket pipe, DN 125/225
• 235 m plastic jacket pipe, DN 100/200
• 60 m plastic jacket pipe, DN 65/140
• 253 m sprinkler pipeline, DN 250 GGG
• 120 m drinking water pipeline, DN 100 GGG
