Campus Langen

A new media line with a total length of around 900 m was built as part of extensive building restructuring measures on the German Air Traffic Control campus in Langen.

Construction included an underground district cooling pipeline made of plastic jacket pipes, DN 150 to DN 300, 650 m in length, and an underground district heating pipeline made of plastic jacket pipes, DN 80 to DN 150, 550 m in length.

A DN 300 district cooling pipe and a DN 150 district heating pipe with a supporting and bearing structure were installed in a media duct over a length of 40 m.

A data line was installed with 3×4 DN 110 protective cable ducts over a length of 700 m and a 20 kV medium voltage line with two DN 125 empty ducts. The cables were blown or pulled into the empty conduit systems.

SWR GmbH performed all the civil engineering, pipe laying and surface restoration work.
