BHKW Mainz
A new 10 MW combined heat and power plant was built in the immediate vicinity of Kraftwerke Mainz-Wiesbaden AG’s existing gas and steam turbine power station. This is to supply electricity and district heating to the entire city of Mainz using ten gas engines.
SWR GmbH laid DN 500 and DN 100 plastic jacket pipelines to connect to the new combined heat and power plant using the trenching method on behalf of Wärtsilä Deutschland GmbH. The DN 500 plastic jacket pipeline was pre-stressed using a pre-stressing device that SWR built specially for this purpose.
The gas engines were connected via DN 250 and DN 80 high-pressure gas pipelines.
